From Inspiration to Reality: Tacchini in Our Showroom
We treat our showroom just like we would treat a client. Once we decide that we need a particular piece for the showroom floor, we then start becoming inspired for a whole design concept, asking ourselves questions like:What else will we put with this to create a full "room"?
What is the color/texture/pattern scheme?
What accessories will we add to give it personality?
And while mixing pieces from different lines is our forte, we decided that since Tacchini was a new introduction to Austin we wanted to create a full vignette adding accessories from other lines and all the furniture from Tacchini. Here is our "inspiration board":

(Ok, here's where I admit that I did this layout in Mac Keynote because I was inept at Photoshop and Indesign...I have since taken a few lessons from our Creative Director to remedy that)
We started with the Quilt Sofa because we had seen it in Italy and fell in love with the buttery leather. We also loved the playful attitude of the Spin Poufs. Having recently purchased the Nanimarquina Losanges Rug for the showroom, we thought this would help to create a fresh and fun color palette. It also shows how a sofa that can seem so serious can loosen up and have some fun with a bit of color, pattern and texture. We also love the marble and white metal Cage Table, and used the round instead of square to play off of the ottoman shapes. Our original design called for an Artemide Melampo Mega Floor Lamp, but instead we used the iconic Artemide Tolomeo Mega Floor Lamp. Lastly we added a live-edge wood table from our local friend, Brian with Eagle's Nest Artistry...we feel this gives it a great organic twist. And how cool is it that the table was made from a tree the City of Austin cut down in Zilker Park? VERY.
Enjoy!
