Current Opening: Interior Designer - Hospitality/Commercial


Type: Full Time

Salary: Salaried (depending on experience, certifications and portfolio) + Bonus

Primary Responsibilities include: The Interior Designer is responsible for leading and managing interior design projects and team members in all aspects of design projects and sales. Projects range in size and scope and vary from luxury residential to commercial and hospitality.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead multiple interior design projects through all phases of the design process, including initial programming & space planning through budget creation, construction documents, FF&E selection, product procurement, scheduling and installation
  • Collaborate with Lead Designer and coordinate other team members throughout project
  • Manage and work with project vendors and various trades
  • Act as the liaison and communicate directly with clients to provide exemplary customer service from the project’s initial programming to final installation
  • Production and maintenance of 2D drawings, 3D models, presentation materials, and bidding, permitting and construction drawing sets
  • Work with team members to manage all phases of product procurement
  • Assist in marketing and new project acquisition for the interior design branch of the company

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
  • Registered Interior Designer certification preferred
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience at the Designer level in the commercial and/or hospitality field or above and 3-5 years overall professional experience within an established interior design firm
  • Extensive knowledge and use of state and local codes and ADA requirements
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and standard office programs
  • Knowledge and use of brands represented by Urbanspace Interiors Showroom in past projects
  • Self-starter that is willing to take ownership of projects & organizational opportunities
  • Perform well in environment that values leadership, efficiency, dependability, and organization
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior organization skills and the ability to effectively multi-task
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong eye for detail
  • The ability to deliver superior customer service
  • Enthusiasm, passion and initiative
  • Must excel in a fast paced, high pressure environment
