Veneer is created from natural hardwood, which is bonded to a stable composite base material. In comparison to bigger woods, it comes in many different variants and textures and has a longer life, as it is not prone to the same aging effects. As the veneer is a natural solid wood, it is susceptible to warping and scratches, and care must be taken to ensure there is no blistering or peeling back of the edges.
